GO MAD! GO EASY!

Okay, there’s a whole new season of fantastic fashion looks out there which have come direct from the fashion show catwalks - and no doubt you’ve got a wish list as long as a supermodel’s legs. The question is, do you splash out for that great new squashy designer handbag (and forego the 101 other things on the list) or find a similar style that’s less eye-wateringly pricey, but just as covetable?

Only you know the answer to that one — and if it’s love at first sight, who am I to put the dampener on your urges? But if you’re wavering and feel a touch of retail therapy coming on here’s a selection of my favourite, money-no-object clothes and accessories out there, compared to their cheap-as-chips kindred spirits - a budget Vs blow-it for the designer gal in you.

You might find it better to avoid the obvious designer copy-cats and look for those items that echo a mood. Maybe it’s the be the colour, the fabric, the shape, the size or the simply a detail that catches the eye.
