Beat bikini blues by banishing bloating 25 Feb 2008
With winter over and hopes of sunshine revived, many women are hitting the gym and preparing their bodies for their summer wardrobes. Cover-up pieces such as smock tops and sarongs aside, many women dread the big reveal when exposing their figures in a non-forgiving bikini. According to Aquaban Herbal, water retention can be an unknown culprit adding to a bulging waistline, with few women realising that bloating can be a sign of up to three pounds excess water in the body. Channel Five News' resident GP and former Radio 2 medical expert Dr Mike Smith commented: "I am quite sure that the girls at Aquaban Herbal are not the only ones who shudder at the thought of exposing their bodies, but these top tips should help all of us have a more comfortable waistline with just a little bit of effort."Discuss this item in our forums
